A great English landscape designer, often regarded as the successor to Capability Brown. His first paid commission was Catton Park in 1788, and later more prestigious projects included Blaise Castle, Woburn Abbey and re-designing the Royal Pavilion for the Prince Regent. Publications include Sketches and Hints on Landscape Gardening (1795).
