Barton St. David is situated five miles South East of historic Glastonbury in the beautiful English county of Somerset. Set in the heart of the countryside, it is however easily accessible as the A303 is only about a mile away. Henry Adams was born in Barton St. David in 1583. He immigrated with his wife and nine children to the new colonies in Massachusetts. His great-great-grandson was John Adams, first Vice President and second President of the USA. For refreshments in Barton St. David you can try the Barton Inn on Main Street, once refreshed you might like to explore the area which has many nearby attractions. Wookey Hole has been revamped recently to enhance the experience for visitors with new attractions on offer.
