Broad Haven is a charming seaside resort positioned on the south east corner of St Brides Bay, Pembrokeshire in Wales, and is home to just over six hundred people. Coal mining played its part, as did the fishing industry in the past, and when the small village became a popular tourist location in the 18th Century, the village grew and expanded. Today's visitor will find a few shops on offer where even the hire of a wet suit can be had, welcoming pubs, bars and restaurants with tasty fayre that will please the most discerning visitor. Green topped cliffs edge a gorgeous golden sandy beach which encourages surfers, and divers to visit time and again, memories in the making with the wide sweep of St Brides Bay where the children search for hidden creatures in the rock pools, and artists will be mesmerised. The houses and cottages are mostly Victorian although later additions can be seen, there's a wealth of Guest Houses, B and B's, hotels, which cater for the holiday makers and tourists who wish to linger, and with the promise of bracing sea air and tranquility of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Footpath running alongside the village this is one destnation that will always please.
