Parkmill is a beautiful village nestling in a valley surrounded by woodland, in the Gower Peninsular South West Wales. There's a magical mix of old welsh stone cottages, and houses, with a sprinkling of new here and there, all set against a stunning backdrop. The village dates far back in time, a legacy of which can be seen with the impressive Megalithic Burial Chamber known as The Giants Grave, it was first discovered in 1869 and shares an insight into a far off time. The 12th Century saw the arrival of the Water Mill which ground corn and grain, it was part of the estate of the powerful family of Le Breos who were favoured by King John, today it houses the fabulous Valley Heritage Centre where nimble and talented hands are hard at work, and the water wheel still turns. Artists and photographers can't help feeling inspired, whilst walkers and lovers of Mother Nature will be eager to explore Pennarth Pill, a small rivulet that bubbles and gurgles nearby, or a gentle stroll through the village and wooded valley where wild garlic lingers in the air unlocks a treasure trove at Three Cliffs Bay, a golden sandy beach is edged by cliffs whose gnarly points reach skywards, an enchantment spell was cast long ago in Parkmill, with no signs of fading.
