A very pretty village in the middle of West Sussex at the foot of the Downs, it has everything from an 11th Century Church, To a stunning Priory. The Village pond although not huge is beguiling and is ideal for fishing especially for those younger rod danglers. The village also has an excellent Museum with a wealth of local treasures. Storrington has other secrets to share such as Parham House, the pure magnificence of this magical Elizabethan house standing within an ancient deer park is stunning, inside the house the story unfolds with great artwork, furniture, and rare examples of needlework. Surrounding the house is 300 acres of ancient deer park, with a lake orchard, herb garden and even a 1920’s ‘Wendy’ house it’s all here. 7 miles away leads you to a gateway that reverses time by nearly 1,000 years with Arundel Castle. inside this wonder are examples of tapestries, fine paintings, furniture, this truly complete castle will not disappoint. Time it right and the entertainment outside will whisk you back to Medieval times with Jousting Tournaments, battle re-enactments, Medieval cookery, Archery, or a Falconry display with magnificent eagles, owls, falcons. Storringtons’ invitation is well worth accepting.
