A charming village on a gentle slope over looking the River Brede in Southern England, close to 1066 country and a Roman past. This pretty village a few miles Battle and Hastings, with a cluster of half timbered houses dating back to 15th Century, nestled around the village green begs to be immortalised in paint. Why not take a guided tour around the Vineyard and taste some wine, ask about ‘Renting a Vine’ where you are kept up to date with how the vine is getting on, this is a pleasant place to visit. Or try The Powder Mills Reservoir on 56 acres, the thrill of catching Rainbow or Brown trout can be enjoyed on land or boat, even if one isn’t caught the scenery is satisfying. The old church in the village originally Saxon was replaced during Norman times, the current church of St John the Baptist dates back to the 18th Century. You will be amongst some of the most famous historical sites in England, from the Roman Naval Headquarters site at Beauport Park, to the Battle of Hastings, and Battle Abbey just 3 miles away. It will be a visit remembered affectionately forever
