Kidmore End is a picturesque village close to Reading and Henley-On-Thames, enchanting cottages and houses are close to the church of St ‘John The Baptist’, with it’s high dome. Painters will linger as there is much to capture, not least the 19th Century Well that has an unusual pointed roof. ’The Herb Farm’ is close, with a reconstructed 18th Century timber framed barn, and nursery, home to many herbs roses and cottage garden plants. For explorers why not sample the ‘Saxon Maze‘, or enjoy the beautiful gardens, no visit would be complete if the gift shop or Orangey café was not also fully explored. Not far is the ’River and Rowing Museum’ three main galleries with interesting exhibits on the river and industry, plus an exciting new ‘walk through’ bringing to life ‘The Wind In The Willows’ and Mr Toad, Ratty Badger and Mole. Or perhaps the thrill of a river trip, well there are many to choose from, or if the thought of a new Shopping Mall tempts you, then ‘The Oracle’ won’t fail to please, or perhaps you prefer full scale Victorian shops, then Blake’s Lock Museum has just that as well as a full size Gypsy Caravan …..perfect
