Aldermaston although famed for it’s atomic establishment has much to offer, it’s historical links still visible today, the ‘Hinds Head Inn’ built 1650 still has it’s Gaol House. Close by is Aldermaston Visitors Centre, this pretty cottage now shares the history of the canal, with a tea and gift shop is positioned 100 yards from ‘The Swing bridge’, or perhaps a visit to the Gravel Pitts Nature Reserve, surrounded by trees now flooded, are home to many birds and wildlife. The Vyne is a stunning Tudor House with mellow red brick, Long Gallery boasts beautiful paintings, furniture, Lake and gardens
