Polzeath is a small village on the north Cornish coast, a haven for surfers riding the Atlantic swells. The large sandy beach with safe sands and rock pools wait to be discovered. With a Marine Wildlife Reserve and plenty of activities and events, or perhaps a stunning cliff walk with unrivalled views of the rugged coast. A perfect place to visit is Prideaux Place only a couple of miles away an historic house that stands beside The Rive Camel, built in 1592, with mellow ivy clad stone walls has many a treasure, outside the pleasing Italian style garden and mesmerising Deer park. Perhaps the impressive stark white Trevose Lighthouse standing tall against the brilliant blue sea, or the close proximity of Merlin’s Cave and mystical 13th Century Tintagel Castle set in a dramatic and picturesque landscape joined to the mainland by a slim slither of land, The headland has been linked with tales of King Arthur since 1136. Why not follow the South West Coastal path to Pentire Point, jutting out into the Atlantic Ocean, with sheer 80 foot cliffs to the sea and several rock climbing routes. Whether you visit for surfing, walking or relaxing Polzeath is worth it. A small holiday village on a super strecth of North Cornish Coast Polzeath is a charming place to base your self for a break or longer holiday. It is over the estuary from Padstow and next to the hooray henry but hip village of Rock. Climb up to the headland and watch the atlantic rollers sweeping in or better still don a wet suit, plunge in and surf the afternoon away.
