The picturesque village of Micheldever is to be found in the County of Hampshire and offers both the resident and visitor alike an eclectic mix of architecture ranging from the medieval through to the modern. The village is to be found just off the A33 set in the rolling hills of Hampshire and it is easily apparent why this is such a popular location offering easy access to the more major towns nearby. Just along Church Street is the magnificent Church of St Mary, hidden behind trees off Church Street and boasting an octagonal nave, the church is well worth a visit if you are in the neighbourhood! Micheldever is a joy to visit with such diverse architecture and a great sense of community spirit it is easy to appreciate why the locals would wish to keep the village the way it is. Any marked change in the village probably would not enhance it – more likely to act in detriment as this village is not simply a group of houses and people. Here in Micheldever it is more than that, it is a community, whitewashed cottages, some original timber framed cottages, thatched roofs, a village centre, local school and village hall these and its residents are what make Micheldever unique.
