Ledbury, having easy access to the motorway network and main line railway, makes an ideal location from which to explore Herefordshire and the surrounding area. Well known for its black and white architecture, this lively market town is a recent winner of the small town category of the annua 'Britain in Bloom' regional competition. It also boasts a wealth of individual shops offering high quality products and friendly service.

Notable amongst Ledbury's fine timber-framed buildings is the 17th century Old Market House, once used as a corn market. Leading off High Street is the picturesque Church Lane, a cobbled street with numerous old houses, captured in many photographs. The Old Grammar School which dates from the late 15th early 16th century, today houses the Heritage Centre and along with The Butchers Row House Folk Museum illustrate aspects of Ledbury's history. At the end of Church Lane is the splendid church of St. Michael and All Angels dating back to the 11th Century. Population 9,000
