Benllech is an attractive coastal village positioned on the historic Isle of Anglesey, in the northern reaches of Wales, and it is home to over three and a half thousand people. Ancient settlers arrived centuries ago and farmed the land which led to the growth and prosperity of the village, farming still carries on today, although Benllech now draws holidaymakers in abundance as it's surrounded by the picturesque scenery of mountains and countryside. It has a beautiful golden sandy beach which draws swimmers, surfers and artists as it overlooks Penmon and Red wharf Bay. Walkers can step out on the Anglsey Coastal Path for sea breezes and scenery as it passes through the village, and closer to home there are cafes along the small Promenade, ice cream parlours, welcoming pubs offering coffee, and something a little stronger, and restaurants with tempting morsels on the menu. The cottages and houses lining the roads confirms to visitors that they have arrived in a coastal village that's complete with rock pools and cliffs. There are those oh so essential shops to browse, and for those visitors who are tempted to stay awhile there are hotels, B&B's, cottages, and even caravan and campsites to chose from.
