Crick is set in the pleasantly rolling countryside in Northamptonshire and has a population of about 2000. The village is situated very close to junction 18 of the M1. The village still has a strong community identity, although some of the locals bemoan that the motorway has bought an unwelcome change to the nature of the village. The proximity of the motorway has bought new industry and therefore an influx of new villagers to the area. Some villagers feel this has had positive benefits with improved buses and other amenities. Visitors can still enjoy a leisurely stroll by the canal and children love feeding the ducks there. If you are thirsty, try the local pub The Red Lion. You can also visit the Parish Church St Margaret of Antioch. The central location and easy motorway access make Crick a good base from which to visit this area of Central England. There are many attractions to see, all within easy reach of Crick including New Clarkes Farm, Hillmorton Gardens, Manor Farm, Cave House and Stanford Hall. All of these are within a ten minute drive of Crick. Slightly further, but still within easy reach are The Rugby School Museum and The Haddonstone Showgarden.
