Cottisford is a small Oxfordshire hamlet consisting of a church and about 20 houses, nestling just off the main A43 Oxford to Northampton Road. Despite its close proximity and easy access to the M40, it has remained a calm and peaceful rural village. It is very centrally located, however, and provides easy access to all parts of England. For the motor sport enthusiast, it is only 15 minutes away from famous and historic Silverstone circuit. Visitors can stay at the Manor Grange guest house which offers comfortable four star ensuite accommodation. There are many different country walks available directly from the guest house on public rights of way, including one through a country estate just five minutes walk away. Less than 10 minutes drive away are Bicester, Brackley and Buckingham. It is only a half an hour drive to the centre of Oxford. Even closer than Oxford is the picturesque little town of Woodstock, featuring Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Winston Churchill. The picturesque stone villages and rolling countryside of the Cotswolds are less than an hour away by car. You can visit Bibury, the arboretum at Westonbirt, Hidcote Manor and Barnsley House gardens, or browse in the antique shops and take tea in one of the many charming little tea shops.
