Holt is a village that reaches back into the history books for a thousand years, with stunning views across the Wiltshire countryside, once famed for it’s curative waters that were sold all over England. The charm of The Courts Garden is ready to be explored, with it’s water garden, Kitchen garden and orchard. The church of St Katherine has a memorable 15th Century tower, and you may be lucky enough to hear the peel of bells. Or the Manor House that also dates back to the 15th Century ‘Great Chalfield Manor House’ is encircled by a Moat, the stunning gardens have much to admire especially the Lilly Pond and Brook. Or how about the wonders of Bradford On Avon Museum apart from the usual exhibits found in a museum, there is a fabulous ‘Pharmacy Shop’ that dates back to 1863 ……..fascinating. Or for the more energetic Wellow Trekking Centre has horses and ponies ready to take you on a journey, or perhaps your prefer the thrill of backing the winner, this is also possible at Bath Race Course, after all of that…why not take a look at Mumford Vineyard this picturesque vineyard is set over 4 acres and explains the process from grape to bottle……
