Enniscrone is a small, lively coastal town set in beautiful surroundings on County Sligo's Atlantic shore. Looking out over the waters and magnificent sunsets of Killala Bay, Enniscrone offers all the benefits of a seaside holiday plus great entertainment and nightlife, sport, history and culture. The town boasts extensive sandy beaches with dunes and rock pools, an exciting children's playground, wonderful coastal walks and excellent fishing, from land, from boats and in the River Moy. Surfing and swimming are especially popular here, and a scenic, world-class golf course welcomes visitors to its 27 holes. Indoors, Kilcullen's Seaweed Baths - a unique attraction - are luxurious, relaxing and therapeutic, and Waterpoint is the place to go for swimming pools and a well-equipped gym. Visitors are ideally placed to explore the sights of Sligo and the close neighbouring county of Mayo. In and around the town, there is much to see, including the ruins of the 17th Century Enniscrone Castle, the adjacent, atmospheric remains of Valentines Church, and the old Cliff Baths, on the promenade, dating from 1850. Local folklore still surrounds the seafront Mermaid Stones and the mythical Enniscrone black pig, celebrated by a large main-street sculpture and an annual festival
