St Martins is one of only five Islands that make up the enchanting Isles Of Scilly, positioned just 28 miles from the Cornish Coast, home to over a hundred and forty people. Whether arriving by Plane, or Ferry the result will be the same, scenes of sugar soft sandy beaches edging the clear crystal water that unashamedly tempts swimmers to linger, and lush countryside where sub tropical plants and flower meadows bathe in the gentle climate. Walkers will prefer to stay outdoors, where breath stealing views are in abundance especially from Watch Hill, for those who have their sea legs climb aboard one of the boat trips, and sail to St Helens, Great Ganillly or Annet for the amazing site of the Puffin colonies which ensure memories are everlasting. Divers can explore the underwater world of Marine treasures, or time it right and enjoy the thrill of the World Pilot Gig Championships. Artists will require an extra brush or two, and Writers will be inspired with magical scenery, and the links with the Romans and Vikings who visited here. Why not wander around either of the Art Galleries, or maybe the thought of sampling a glass or two after an intriguing tour, will tempt a visit to St Martins Vineyard.
