Kemerton is a charming village positioned within the heart of the Cotswolds in the county of Worcestershire, and is home to nearly four hundred people. The village sits at the foot of Bredon Hill which rises impressively against the skyline, at the top of which are the remains of an Iron Age Hill Fort amongst the gorse and hawthorn bushes, there's also a tower built in the 18th Century known as Parson's Folly, and Standing Stones, the largest of which is the Elephant Stone where the views are mesmeric. The village has an interesting history through the ages, remnants of which may be seen with the delightful 12th Century church of St Nicholas with its fabulous 13th Century pinnacled tower which houses six bells, and an elegant Manor House that was built in the 16th Century. This pretty village is set just four miles from Tewksbury, and six miles from the Market Town of Evesham, it has attractive honey coloured limestone houses and cottages that span the ages, village shops for that oh so essential purchase, and a welcoming 18th Century Inn. Walkers and cyclists are spoilt for choice with the many footpaths on offer across Bredon Hill, which will be forever immortalised in the poignant poem written by A.E. Houseman, A Shropshire Lad
