Gatwick Airport is situated just north of Crawley, and only thirty two miles from central London, the Airport originally opened in 1958 although has been used since the '30's, and now features in the list of top ten busiest airports in the world. There are two impressive Terminals here, both the South and the North Terminal, they are linked via a small Automatic Train that departs every three minutes. Once through Passport Control there are a collection of eateries to suit every taste, and shops to choose from whether Tax Free or Duty Free. For Business Class Travellers there is a chance to rest a spell in one of the two Executive Lounges on offer in the South Terminal or the one in the North. For travellers with special needs there are Free Help Points on offer at several locations where a Map and a useful telephone number is given to request assistance.
If there is time to spare, why not take advantage of Tilgate Forest Country Park nearby where beautiful scenery is mirrored in the lakes, Or if you have time for a round or two there is Effingham Park Golf Club where 18 holes will take you on a journey around five lakes.
Whether you arrive to take off, or take off to arrive, your visit is sure to be a pleasing one.....
