Leeds Bradford Airport is sandwiched between the cities of Leeds and Bradford, both have good travel links with the Airport by either bus, coach, or taxi and for passengers wishing to drive the route is well signposted. From Leeds follow the signs to Yeadon on the A660. From Bradford take the A658 and again follow the signs for Yeadon. On arrival there is a choice of short and long stay car parking from which a shuttle bus travels to the Airport. The Airport started life back in 1931 as an Aerodrome, and was also used by the RAF during WW11, happily today it is now used for business travellers and holidaymakers alike with numbers rising to 2.9 million in 2007. The Terminal offers many facilities from it’s numerous Check In Desks, or for those passengers travelling by certain airlines the option of on line check in is always there. Or why not opt for Fast Track which enables passengers to by pass that ever annoying queue. Trolleys and Porters are on hand for those that wish it, and the Food Villages have a varied choice of Restaurants, Cafes and Bars where there is sure to be something for even the most discerning traveller. Tax and Duty Free shopping is sure to tempt with perfumes and spirits in abundance. There are ATM’s that accept all major Debit and credit Cards, and Bureau De Change for currency exchange. Help Points are scattered throughout together with reserved seating, designated parking and specially adapted loos for the Disabled. WIFI, Internet kiosks and Induction Loops for the hard of hearing are also available. For passengers in need of a pause there is a Quiet Room, and Executive Lounges offering comfortable surroundings have not been forgotten, nor has the children’s play area or Baby changing facilities.
